Thomas and I decided super last minute to take a quick trip
to California to visit a med school he is applying for. We got word from the
advisor that he could give us a tour of the school on Monday – so we decided to
pack up and head down Saturday mid day and spend the whole weekend there.
Traveling with an infant is definitely a lot different that Thomas and I
traveling alone or even with the dogs. Our 3.5 hour drive turned into a 5 hour
long adventure. Mason for the most part was pretty good – although he
definitely did not like traveling
with a wet diaper. Saturday evening we arrived to the hotel around 6:30 just in
time to feed Mason and let him stretch out on the bed.
After Mason was fed and getting a little tired we decided to
get back in the car and head to dinner. We found this super tiny mom and pop
Mexican restaurant and enjoyed some delicious food. After dinner we headed back
to the hotel and got right in bed. Traveling all afternoon wore us all out.
Plus… we needed to get super rested for the beach tomorrow!
