Good thing he has two feet.

Thomas is home and alive after his shoulder surgery on Tuesday Aug. 4th. Last summer when T was playing summer ball he was hurt his arm. He was out the rest of the road trip and went to the doctor the minute he got back into town. After some where rigorous physical therapy T was back on the field practicing. Well, unfortunately Thomas was never right. His arm just didn't ever work the way it used to. After the first MRI nothing too specific came back. So, with doctors orders he went away to Univ. of Redlands to pursue his baseball dreams. A few bull pens into the "pre-season" Thomas started to come to the conclusion that he wasn't ever going to be the same. He decided to hang it up and pursue another dream.

Some day he quit. I think about that often.... to me Thomas didn't quit. He was being very responsible and realized unlike other atlethes who get injured that what was best for him was to allow his body to heal and to go on without the game of baseball in his everyday life.

Well, here we are a year later and the dang arm still isn't right. After another two MRI's and consistent pain Thomas finally decided to go through with surgery.

I took 5 days off to care for the poor guy and now were are home and resting. Hopefully he will be up and ready for our anniversary trip next week! We will see!
